Welcome to the Newport Torpedoes Swim Team’s end-of-season Ice Cream Social and Awards Presentation! It’s wonderful to see all of you here tonight as we come together to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our incredible swimmers over the past season.

Parents, thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement. Your commitment to bringing your swimmers to practices and meets, cheering from the sidelines, and fostering a positive environment has been invaluable.

Swimmers, you have shown remarkable determination, sportsmanship, and growth. Each of you has contributed to the spirit and success of our team, and we are incredibly proud of your accomplishments.

As we enjoy some delicious ice cream and share in this special evening, let’s take a moment to reflect on the memories we’ve created and the friendships we’ve strengthened. Tonight, we also recognize and honor those who have gone above and beyond, showcasing outstanding performances and embodying the true spirit of the Newport Torpedoes.

Team Accomplishments -

We are thrilled to announce that our team has secured second place at our recent divisional swim meet! It was a tough competition with some very close races, but our swimmers showed incredible determination and skill, finishing the day well into second place.

Congratulations to all our swimmers for their outstanding performances. You have not only demonstrated your talent and hard work but also shown the other teams in our division that the Newport Torpedoes are a force to be reckoned with. We are here to make white water!

Thank you to all the parents, coaches, and supporters who have been with us every step of the way. Your encouragement and dedication make achievements like this possible.

And we raised $1,000.00 from our wagon raffle to fund scholarships.

Congratulations to Lainey Carden and Trinity Cutbirth for their academic and swimming achievements.

Lainey wrote – Attending Texas State University in San Marcos, TX

“Fifteen years of rigorous swim practices have instilled in me a resilience that extends far beyond the pool,

making the challenges of everyday life much more manageable. “

Trinity wrote - Attending Lyon College in Batesville, AR

“Being a Newport Torpedo has provided many life lessons for me. This season started in despair and ended in triumph.”

We are looking for new board members, please consider joining. Meeting will be held on the 2^nd Tuesday of every month, starting on August 13^th.

Make sure to invite your friend to join the swim team next year - 

• We are looking into opening next season’s registration as early as January.
• Be on the lookout for end of swim season survey.
• We have 20 boxes of chocolate remaining, and we are selling each box for $45 each. Please let us know if you interested in buying any boxes of chocolate.
