Divisionals Reminder and Important Information
Fellow Parents,
Excitement is in the air as Divisionals approaches! We hope you're ready for an incredible swimming event. Here are some important reminders and details for the upcoming swim meet:
Date: Saturday, June 17th
Location: Summer Creek High School Natatorium
Address: 14000 Weckford Blvd., Houston, TX 77044
Swimmer Check-In: Please ensure that your swimmers check in at 6:45am promptly.
Warm-Up Schedule: Lane 1-4 will have their warm-ups from 7:10am to 7:40am. Please be on time to make the most of the warm-up period.
Theme: Going for Gold!
Setup Information: Teams' setup areas have been marked in the cafeteria (air-conditioned inside) with blue tape and signs. Please note that setup is not allowed in the bleachers, hallways, or areas with a "No Setup" sign.
Weather Considerations: Last week's Summer Champs meet was cold inside (very cold AC), so we recommend bringing hoodies and blankets to keep warm. Please remember to bring your own chairs as well. No canopy will be needed.
Ready Bench and Event Calls: Swimmers should report to the ready bench area when their event is called. Parents are responsible for ensuring their swimmers are present before their events. Parents are kindly requested not to accompany their children into the ready bench area. Parents with small children can wait outside the glass doors, then move to the pool area to watch their kids swim, and then retrieve their swimmers from outside.
Pool Deck Restrictions: For safety reasons, only swimmers, coaches, safety marshals, officials, meet personnel, and timers are permitted on the pool deck during the operation of the divisional meet. If asked to leave the deck by authorized personnel, please comply immediately. No food or drinks other than water are allowed on the deck.
Spectator Seating: The bleachers on the pool deck are designated for watching your swimmer and then making room for the next set of parents. Please refrain from reserving permanent seats. Seating between races is available in the cafeteria or outside. Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere in the building or school campus. Additionally, no glass containers are allowed in the pool area.
Parking: Please park in the normal parking spots in the parking lot. Avoid parking along the drives, curbs, or areas marked with "no parking" signs.
Concessions: A Concession stand will be available for refreshments throughout the event.
End of Relays and Early Departures: Kindly stay until the end of the relays, as we may require substitutes unexpectedly. If you need to leave early, please inform the coach or a board member beforehand.
Respecting the Facility: As guests at Summer Creek High School, let's remember to clean up after ourselves. If you notice any trash, please pick it up and dispose of it properly.
Upcoming Invitationals: This will be our last swim meet of the year unless your swimmer qualifies for Trinity or Ponderosa. If your swimmer is eligible for these invitational meets, you should have already received an email with more details.
