Congratulations on an Amazing Victory and Important Updates!

    Dear Parents,

I wanted to take a moment to congratulate all of our swimmers on their hard-fought victory against the Woodland Hill Wahoos. It was an intense competition, and the final score truly reflects the dedication and effort put in by each and every swimmer. The final score was Wahoos - 702 and Torpedoes - 711. This win highlights the importance of every swimmer showing up for their events and giving it their all. We needed every point to secure this victory, and your children delivered!

As we approach the end of the season, I encourage everyone to stay focused and continue working hard. We have some exciting upcoming events that we need to prepare for. Firstly, we have a home meet against Forest Cove this Saturday. Let's make sure we have a strong turnout and maintain our winning momentum. Additionally, the Summer Champs Invitationals will take place on Sunday, June 11th. Please mark this date on your calendars and ensure that your swimmer is signed up for the invitational. It's a great opportunity for them to showcase their skills and compete against talented swimmers from other clubs. Please turn in your swimmer fees today at practice.

Now, let's take a moment to recognize some outstanding achievements by our swimmers. I want to congratulate Landon Vickers (14) for becoming the newest Ponderosa qualifier. He is the 5th qualifier from our team. It's a fantastic accomplishment, and we are incredibly proud of him.

Regarding the Trinity qualifiers, we currently have 59 swimmers who have qualified.  I encourage you to check and see if your swimmer has qualified after each meet. We have 15 swimmers out of the 59 who will be participating in Trinity. It's a significant number, and we commend these swimmers for their hard work. Don't forget to sign up your swimmer for this invitational and give them the opportunity to compete at such a prestigious event.

Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the record-breaking performances by our swimmers. Blayne Cutbirth (12) broke her own season record in the 50 backstroke, with an impressive time of 32.23. Ethan Miguez (13) set a new record in the 100 IM, finishing with a time of 1:06.59, surpassing the previous record of 1:09.21 set in 2019 by Joshua Sanchez. Kyle Beylotte (18) broke his own season record in the 50 backstroke, clocking in at 28.66.

Please extend my heartfelt congratulations to your children for their exceptional achievements. They continue to inspire us with their dedication and passion for swimming.

Thank you for your continued support, and let's keep up the great work as we head into the final stretch of the season!

    Best regards,

    Pedro Guerrero
